David Blum is President of AXR, Afina’s international real estate investment business. Prior to co-founding AXR, Mr. Blum spent 25 years in institutional real estate investment management at Urdang Capital Management. There, he served as Portfolio Manager of Urdang Value-Added Fund II, L.P., a US$463 million closed-end private real estate fund, which ranked in the top quartile for its strategy and vintage by Preqin. He also served as a member of Urdang’s investment committee. During his tenure, Urdang invested roughly $6.7 billion into properties in 30 states. He earned his B.S. in Accounting and M.S in Taxation from the American University and is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association.
